      This is a version number fix for EMAC packages using the EMAC_PR minor · 5313021b
      gbentley authored
      version. Recipes with EMAC_PR values equal to 0 have been changed to 1.
      The reason for this is bitbake always appends a .1 to the end of the
      ipkg name. The result is the new file with an EMAC_PR of 0 will always
      be superseded by the original version.

      PR = "1"
      EMAC_PR = "0"
      PR = "PR.${EMAC_PR}"

      For example: the if PR is 1 and EMAC_PR is 0 then the final PR becomes
      1.0. However when the ipkg is built, the PR becomes 1.0.1. In version
      checking 1.1 is newer than 1.0.1 and the EMAC version ends up in the
      ipk/morgue. By starting EMAC_PR with 1 , the final PR becomes 1.1 and
      the ipkg version is 1.1.1 which gives the correct result and opkg
      upgrade will now work as expected.

      For all new packages the EMAC_PR needs to be an integer of 1 or higher.

      Added the put-image script for installing x86 emac-oe images. This · 39500def
      gbentley authored
      script is used on the Integration flash burn station as well as for
      customers. The script does the following:

      1. Creates an ext3 file system to the device specified. The assumption is
         there is only one partition for the image.
      2. Extracts the tarball of the image to the device specified.
      3. Installs a static version of LILO to the MBR for the device.

      The default image name in LILO is emac-oe. This can be changed after the
      system is booted by editing /etc/lilo.conf and running lilo as root.

      See README.txt for information on the scripts provided.

      Modified the Debian etc-setserial init script and added it to setserial. · bf23044d
      gbentley authored
      setserial will now start on init rcS reading the configuration from
      /etc/serial.conf. The example configuration adds the first two serial
      ports, COM1 and COM2 which are initializaed with their standard default
      values (IRQ4/3, I/O port 3f8/2f8).

      The x86-32 kernels have been modified to initialize 12 serial ports by
      default. They will accommodate the first four standard ports boards and
      up to an additional eight more from a add-on serial port module. Serial
      port autoconfiguration in the kernel does not work properly, so in order
      to use the serial ports, each one must have a configuration line added
      to /etc/serial.conf.
