Over the air updates
By default Emac inc ships all packages via ftp.emacinc.com/MACHINE/Codename after nightly builds.
Emac inc support the following package types
- RPM
- Deb
- IPK
By default Emac builds nightly and updates all package types. If you would like to mirror our repos, Please contact support (support@emacinc.com). We could use the extra hardware.
Updating your software
- rpm (default)

For a simple upgrade run
dnf upgrade
to install a new package
dnf install <packagename>
- deb

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
To install a package
apt-get install <package-name>

How do I change where I receive updates and upgrades ?
Before the build
Alter This file at this line
Then build.
After the build
If you would like to change where you receive your updates from edit the following file per supported type.
- RPM (default)
alter the urls in the file
/etc/yum.d/oe-packages.repo
then run
dnf upgrade
- IPK
alter the urls in the file
/etc/opkg/basefeeds.conf
then run
opkg update
- DEB
alter the urls in the file
/etc/apt/sources.list
then run
apt-get update
